Well, we’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time!  This coming Friday 27th June, sees Blueflint performing on a bill choc-full of great talent as part of the Soundhouse Organisation series of benefit gigs.

We can’t stress enough how worthwhile this cause is. Over the years Douglas and Jane-Ann have worked tirelessly to bring music closer to Edinburgh audiences and they’ve been incredibly generous and supportive to touring musicians looking to gig in the city.  The Soundhouse objective is to establish a venue led by musicians and audiences – you can read more about the initiative on their website at: http://www.soundhouse.org.uk/about-us

The incomparable Banjo Lounge 4  kick off proceedings at 8pm; Blueflint follow closely behind, before the wonderful Dean Owens takes the stage, and finally Dolphin Boy delights with remixes and mashups in the Bar later on in the evening.

Tickets are going fast, so don’t hang about – get yours booked at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/668414

See you Friday!

Why not come down and have a listen? We’re back on tomorrow night, and the fun kicks off at 8.30pm.

While work carries on with our new material for our third album, we’re also busy booking up dates for the 2015 album launch tour. Check out our gigs page for details of gigs confirmed so far – it’s all shaping up very nicely!!

Meanwhile, we have some exciting gigs coming up this year, including a trip down south to the Broadstairs Folk Week and London’s very own Come Down and Meet the Folks in August. Before then, don’t forget to put 27th June 2014 in your diary. Blueflint will be performing as part of a benefit night for Soundhouse at Edinburgh’s EUSA Pleasance. You won’t only have the pleasure of our company, but also appearing are Dean Owens; the Banjo Lounge 4, and there will be dancing to DJ Dolphin Boy in the Pleasance Cabaret Bar after the gig. A mouthwatering combination of acts we think!
