We’re absolutely delighted to be performing as part of an evening of music in support of the wonderful Soundhouse organisation in Edinburgh. Douglas and Jane-Ann of Soundhouse have put on a wealth of memorable gigs in the past through their house concerts, and the Soundhouse initiative will continue their sterling work.

The gig will take place on the 27th June, and we’re delighted that we’re sharing the billing with the wonderful Dean Owens. For more details on the gig, check out the Soundhouse website.

Things are shaping up nicely as we work on our list of songs for our new album which we’ll be recording later this year. Along with material we’ve been trying out on audiences at live performances, are some brand new songs which Deborah and Clare are working on, and shaping up in rehearsal at the moment. Really looking forward to filling them out with the full band sound and hitting the studio!

Well, that’s us back in Edinburgh after the last of our 2013 gigs. It’s been a great year of gigs for Blueflint; we’ve had some memorable performances and we’ve met some terrific folk along the way. We’ve played the length of the UK from John o’ Groats to Bristol, taking in some great venues.

Highlights included our sell-out Fringe gigs as part of this year’s Made in Scotland Showcase in August.

We are looking forward to 2014, recording our new CD in April and hope to see you again for our CD launch tour in Autumn 2014!  Thanks to everyone that came to our gigs and for supporting Blueflint. Keep in touch and see you in 2014!

Next weekend (Fri 25/Sat 26 Oct) sees Blueflint performing their final gigs for 2013, and we’re sure looking forward to them.

Friday 25th sees us at the Chapel Arts Centre in Bath, with support from Blind River Scare and then on Saturday 26th we head northwards to Leamington Spa for our gig at Leamington LAMP, where Malarkie will open the night’s fun.

We’ve had a great time this year, but work is now in progress on next year’s gigs!  Blueflint will be releasing their third album in 2014 and will be performing across the UK and Ireland to promote the album……watch this space for details!
