Due to unavoidable circumstances, we’ve had to postpone our May dates in Falkland and Dunfermline, but we’re arranging alternatives with the venues, so watch this space for new dates!
Spring gigs in the Kingdom
We’ve got a couple of dates for your diaries this spring. Blueflint are Fife-bound with gigs at Falkland Community Development Trust on Saturday 19 May and Dunfermline Folk Club on Wednesday 23 May. Looking forward to heading over the Queensferry Crossing to the Kingdom!
Happy new year!
All the best for the new year!
Blueflint are spending these winter months working hard on new material, and there will be a few gig dates in the diary – watch this space!
Upward Mobility Fundraiser – Friday 10 November
Blueflint are delighted to be taking part in a fundraiser evening on behalf of the Upward Mobility Project on Friday 10th November. The Project is a registered charity providing a range of dynamic workshops as well as innovative support services for adults with learning disabilities.
The evening features a feast of Americana music to tantalise your eardrums! As well as the Flinters, Wild Ponies, Dropkick and Under the Dogwood Tree will be serving up some very fine sounds!
Tickets are still available at: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/charity-americana-show
What’s coming up!
The band have got a couple of lovely gigs booked in October which see us heading south of the city! We’ll be heading to the coast for an evening at Coldingham Public Hall on Sunday 8th October, and then the following weekend, heading to Dumfries and Galloway for a performance at the Craigdarroch Arms Hotel, Thornhill, Moniaive on Saturday 14th October. We’ve got happy memories of performing at the Moniaive Bluegrass Festival a couple of years ago, so looking forward to heading down that way again!
Before then, we’ll be playing as a duo at the Mystery General Election Fundraiser for Edinburgh Northern & Leith Constituency Labour Party this coming Thursday 21st September at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms. We’re sharing the billing with the inimitable Banjo Lounge 4, Susan Morrison, and members of the Southern Tenant Folk Union – it’s going to be a cracker!
Thursday’s gig
Due to family circumstances Deborah will not be able to perform on Thursday at Falkirk Folk Club, but Clare Hugh and Jo have a lovely intimate evening planned playing as a trio. We’ll see you there!
